1986-1991 John Morley, bought from Spain.
The papers for 11/04/1991 state that 1965-1971 owners unknown. Car believed to have been used in competition in the South of France. 1971-78 M.Rodrigues, Bezier, Langedoc, France. 1978-86 P.Evans, Amperia-Brana (Empuria-Brava), Catalonia, Spain. 1986-91 J Morley, Tervuren, Brussels, Belgium.
It is stated that it was believed that the car was used in the Marseille region, prior to being crashed. John Morley was the Deputy Euro Commissioner for Labour at the time and lived in Brussels. His son Peter advises that they bought the car and restored it but did not race it. They sold it to Schrauwens and their son, Stephan, raced it at Spa-Francorchamps, 5th Trophee des Ardennes, 18th May 1991. Restored by Stephan Kupka's Belgian restoration company, MecAuto, in Baelen near Spa. Road registered in Belgium, reg. number GYN 165 when in possession of the Schrauwens. Purchased by Mark Green in 2002.
In 2004 featured in Cody's Auction, Lotus Motor Cars, lot number 2002, 30th October 2004,. Sold in 2005 to Alastair Morrison. Restored by John Sabourin in 2008. Goodwood Revival Meeting, 2008-Madgwick Cup, driven by Hampshire Morrison (son of Alistair), 5th place. Not used 2008-2011 as per Bonhams. Bonham sale 16/09/2011. Bought by Mike Smith 2011/2012. Letter from MSA to Mike Smith dated 14/02/12 re HTP papers dated 02/04/2008. 20/10/2012 HSSC Silverstone Guards Trophy Race, driven by Ian Ashley. 2013 to date owned by John Albiston for hill climbing and sprinting in Scotland. Historic championship winning car.
